SMII7Y picks the Worms map again, and Blarg's channel doubles its day

Five uploads went up, two of them about crabs, and the Worms rematch passed 400,000 views in three days.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A usual day for Blarg brings his channel somewhere around 330,000 views. Right now it is drawing about twice that, and the reason has worms in it.

"We Let SMII7Y Pick The Worms Map Again..." went up on September 30 and became the week's most watched new upload. It is the sequel its title promises: the group hands the map choice back to SMII7Y, the Canadian creator known for chaotic multiplayer comedy, and lives with the results. Team17's artillery series rewards nobody for playing it carefully, and the comments are full of timestamps for the worst of it, including one friend's slow, screaming fall at the five-minute mark and a running joke that every mistake costs him another teammate.

The rest of the week leaned toward the sea. "How To Fish But We CAUGHT 11 BILLION CRABS" and "The Missing Crab Files..." came a day apart, and the fishing one passed 300,000 views. Earlier there was a CS2 case opening that, the title says, SwaggerSouls ruins.

The newest upload is the one moving fastest. "Blarg, Soup, and Dooo Ruining Games For 30 Minutes Straight..." went up on Friday and drew more than 70,000 views in its first eight hours. Matt's about line promises videos every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, and this week the schedule delivered.

The subscriber count held steady at 1.41 million. Among the let's-play and variety gamers around his size, 3FS and Northernlion are having big weeks and OneyPlays is also running at about twice its usual pace, while CashPlays is quieter than normal. Blarg's week is a lively one in that company.
