Who said Bitwit built his house illegally? The title of his one upload this week doesn't say, but it clearly made people curious. "They Said I Built My House "ILLEGALLY!"" went up on September 26, drew more than 230,000 views in its first day and has kept a brisk pace since.

It is the latest chapter in what has become a house series for Kyle, the PC builder behind the channel. Before it came "I'll Never SWEAT In My House Again!", about keeping the place cool, and "Building A PC In The New House Hits DIFFERENT!", which brings the channel's oldest habit into the new rooms. Both are still collecting views, but at a trickle next to the newest one.

Subscribers held level over the past few days. Among the tech channels close to Bitwit's size, most were running below their usual pace, ShortCircuit, SuperSaf and zollotech among them, while Jonathan Morrison was well above his. For Bitwit, the house is doing the talking, and a building dispute in the title turns out to be as good a hook as any graphics card.
