Hair was the hook. The BBC titled its newest Graham Norton Show Short "The story behind Andrew Garfield's beautiful hair!" and it passed 190,000 views within 13 hours. A Short on this channel usually ends its whole first day somewhere near 10,000.

The hair gets the title, but the description slips in a second hook, a laughing nod to white tigers. The comments suggest the tigers belong to Sylvester Stallone's part of the evening. Many viewers want to know whether he ever made it to the bathroom, and others picture him alone, face to face with a tiger. Garfield's look gets its own thread: one viewer has been reminded of John Glover's long-haired Lionel Luthor in Smallville for months. Thirty-eight comments arrived in those first hours. A BBC Short usually gathers about five in a full day.

It was a crowded sofa. Stallone, forever Rocky and Rambo, came to talk about his memoir, The Steps. Catherine Zeta-Jones, who won her Oscar playing Velma Kelly in Chicago, was there for the Amazon revenge thriller Kill Jackie. Garfield leads The Uprising, Paul Greengrass's film about the Peasants' Revolt of 1381. Greengrass is the director of United 93 and two of the Bourne films, so a medieval rebellion is new ground for him.

The same episode kept the channel busy all day. A second upload under the identical hair title drew a much smaller crowd. A Stallone clip about geese did nearly as well as that second upload. By his account, a goose will take you behind the barn and give you a beating.

As we reported here, Norton's sofa carried the channel last week too. This time, a hairstyle did the work.
