Israel demolishes Palestinian buildings in West Bank after deadly attack near Hebron
From a nearby window, two men watch a residential building being demolished in Hebron. One holds up a phone to film as excavators tear into the structure.
The Associated Press footage shows the demolition of a multi-story building in the occupied West Bank. Hydraulic breakers hammer through concrete, exposing reinforcing steel and sending dust into the air. At one point, two excavators work on opposite sides of the building.
AP reports that Israel began demolishing several Palestinian-owned buildings following an attack near Hebron that killed two Israeli soldiers. The two suspected Palestinian attackers were also killed, according to the military.
The short report drew about 200,000 views in 18 hours, already far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for Shorts. Its footage stays close to the demolition site, cutting between the machinery, stationed armored vehicles and armed soldiers near a gate. There is no intelligible spoken explanation, only machinery noise and background shouting.
