Anwar Jibawi took the week off from posting, and his summer shorts filled the gap without much fuss.

The biggest of them is "When you get her name tattooed 🥲", a joke built on one of the oldest warnings in romance. Posted about two and a half months ago, it has passed 16 million views, and it is still drawing views every day.

Two newer shorts are moving a little faster day to day, and neither explains itself in its title. One is called simply "🕺🏻🤰🏻", a dancer and a pregnant woman, which leaves the punchline to the video. The other, "Art 🖼️", is barely three weeks old and has already caught up with it at well over a million and a half views. For a comedian who built his following on short, wordless setups back in the Vine days, a title made of two emoji is about as much setup as he needs.

Among the comedy channels closest to him in size, Jeenie.Weenie is having the standout stretch, running well above its usual pace, while Speed McQueen and yoangelolo are drawing huge daily audiences even on a slower run than normal. Anwar sits in the middle of that group by subscribers, with more than nine billion lifetime views behind him.
