Bots and Rizzo make identity slippery on amustycow
Seven uploads include a Joe Bart challenge and a test against Killerbox's two-on-one bot, Disco.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
can I go undercover as a bot?
Blending in takes practice. In amustycow's most-watched new upload, "can I go undercover as a bot?", the challenge is to make human play pass for machine behavior. It has reached roughly 1.1 million views, and commenters are picking up on the joke of trying to act natural while deliberately playing like a bot.
Rizzo is another recurring talking point. Viewers mention memories of his earlier Rocket League appearances, and Musty's newer "can i spot the real @Rizzo ?" flips the identification problem around. That upload is currently drawing the most daily views on the channel.
The machine theme also runs through "The Bot Who Can Win Any 1v2." Here, Musty challenges Disco, a bot created by Killerbox and described as specifically designed to counter two opponents. The credits name Lethamyr, Wahvey, Uuest and Bryce as teammates. It is the channel's next-busiest video right now, followed by the air-dribbling challenge featuring EarthRL.
Elsewhere in the seven-upload week, "1v1ing Joe Bart but every time he LOSES he gets a BUFF" passed a million views, adding another variation to Musty's habit of changing the terms of a Rocket League match.
Across the channel, the week brought nearly 18 million views while subscribers held steady. Daily viewing is a little below its usual level. Nearby sports-and-racing channels had mixed weeks: Hudson's Playground Gaming added subscribers, while ZerkaaPlays is drawing a larger-than-usual daily audience.
For longtime Musty viewers, the undercover premise has history of its own: his 2020 upload "I went undercover as a Rocket League bot. Can I fool my opponents?" remains among his most-watched regular videos.
