A companion piece posted just over a week ago, with hair tips for strict school or work dress codes, is gathering views nearly as fast. It has already passed a million and keeps its typo-friendly promise that at least you can add "volump." Perhaps the back-to-school season is sending people looking for exactly this kind of help.

Further back, "LISTENING TO MY HATERS AGAIN" is still moving at seven weeks old. It is the confidence short in which she thanks a critic for giving her more "gorfidence."

Among the beauty and hair channels around her size, the loud stretch belongs to Aspyn Ovard, at more than double her usual daily views, with Matt Randon and Audrey Victoria also running above their norms. alena sits sixth of nine by subscribers, at about 1.8 million.
