Perfect

Ryu has prepared a tournament packet, and apparently Ken hasn't read it. That small administrative failure is the setup for "Perfect," Adult Swim's stop-motion sketch starring action figures of the Street Fighter pair.

Ken calls to complain that E. Honda hasn't arrived. Ryu checks the instructions and supplies the correction: "You're not fighting E. Honda, you're fighting a Honda." Suddenly, the game's familiar car-smashing bonus stage has become a scheduling misunderstanding.

The Short drew roughly 750,000 views in its first 14 hours, putting it far ahead of Adult Swim's usual Shorts start. It also follows another Street Fighter joke on the channel, "Realistic Street Fighter II #rickandmorty #streetfighter," which brought Rick and Summer into the game's world, as we reported here.

This time, the joke stays with the fighters themselves. Ken reluctantly starts punching the parked car, then discovers that the assignment has its attractions. His complaints give way to an enthusiastic "Shoryuken!"

Viewers are extending the wordplay in the comments, imagining A. Honda as E. Honda's relative and adding Punch-Out's Piston Honda to the family. Others are debating the car model or admitting they expected it to transform into a robot. Ryu, meanwhile, has his defense printed and ready: "It was in the packet!"
