Adult Swim's Short, "Realistic Street Fighter II #rickandmorty #streetfighter", turns the fighting game's usual instant confrontation into a problem of urban navigation. Summer explains that players start at the beginning of their fighters' day, then have to find each other across the city.

Even the meter works against a satisfying confrontation. As Rick explains: "That meter filling up is us forgetting what made us so mad." Getting distracted could apparently settle the score without anybody landing a hit.

The clip reached about 1.4 million views in fourteen hours, already far beyond Adult Swim's usual first day for a Short. The comments have a specific comparison in mind: Street Fighter 6's World Tour mode, which lets players explore city environments and challenge people to fights. Others are adding their own mundane obstacles, such as forgetting breakfast before the encounter.

On the couch, though, Rick and Summer remain committed to finding each other. Their immediate obstacle isn't a special move. It's whether the library is uptown or downtown.
